Hi, my name is Nic and I'm a member of the Wikia Content Development Team. As you may have seen on many wikis such as Call of Duty, there is a new module for the right hand column that displays related videos to the Wiki. This is a new feature that we want to place on your wiki, would you be cool with allowing this?
Ah yes, I noticed that, was wondering how to get it. I like it! I'm more than cool with them being added.
I was wondering, is there any way to get those on a few other wikis as well? Also, I'm fine with module, but will there be any way to toggle it via the Wiki Features under the Admin Dashboard?
Death for me, definitely. For Brütal Legend ... hmm, I'm torn between Mangus, Kill Master, and The Guardian of Metal. Let's go with Mangus. And Psychonauts would be Mr. Pokeylope (though Officer O'Lungfish would be cool too).
By the way, hey look - I'm back from my trip. I'm going to start working on various templates, etc. across this vast world of wikis.
Those sound like great ideas - but no, I haven't beaten it yet. However, I plan to game my face off during this upcoming week; it's spring break, and I'm too broke to drive anywhere far. ;)
no thats fine i know that rules are implemented to maintain order and all that good stuff.
my point is that he was unfair in his block, i was having a conversation with this guy ABOUT the language policy, never disrespected him or anything, im guessing the reason he applied the overly heavy sanction was because i used them in the convo, but they were just examples i cant believe he thought i was actually using them, he never gave me the direction "dont use them, even as examples" never did and then i see this block and im just like what the hell right? i cant talk about a subject if i dont TALK about the subject dont chu think? thats my beef with it. if hes going to block people for using the unaprooved language tell him to block lancer because he did also, thats all im saying.
I've been playing through Psychonauts, which I got recently on Steam, and I have to ask if that game is in any way related to the Milkman origin story. If you're not familiar with it, the game includes a "Milkman Conspiracy" section. Also, if you're not familiar with it, fire up Steam and buy it now! It's a great game, but also one of the funniest games I've ever played (I'm getting Portal level LOLs per hour out of it).
OMG. That game is what inspired me to become a Milkman! Psychonauts is still one of my all-time favourite games and Milkman Conspiracy is my all-time favourite level! If you love that game, you will really love Brutal Legend! Made by Tim Shafer and Double Fine too. I actually adopted the wiki recently and could use some help....
Also, drop in the chat room if you want to discuss more.
I would have to rank Lungfishopolis as my favorite level so far followed closely by the Milkman Conspiracy. I'm currently in the black velvet painting level from the asylum after completing the Napoleon level (gotta love a game that can encompass lungfish, a milkman, Napoleon, and a black velvet painting and still make sense).
So now Double Fine, and therefore Brütal Legend, are on my radar. We also have another Double Fine game, Stacking, from the PSN store, and I enjoyed seeing my wife play through it but haven't started it yet myself.
Oh please do. I would love your help on Brutal Legend Wiki. The game is every bit as crazy and hilarious, with an all-star cast featuring Jack Black, Tim Curry, Ozzy Osbourne, Jennifer Hale et al.
Come to think of it, Psychonauts wiki isn't looking so good...No background or anything. I was thinking you or I could adopt it. I even have an idea for a background.
Oh, and Brütal Legend is on the way (damn you!). I headed off to Amazon to place it on my wish list for future reference when I noticed it was listed for $10.07. That's pretty reasonable, so I placed it in my cart to think about it. Then as I poked around the site an alert popped up informing me that the price had dropped to $10.06 (I kid you not). Well, now it was downright affordable so I pulled the trigger.
